When you use iWakeel, we collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: name, email address, and role (client or lawyer) when you register.
• Profile information: lawyers may provide bar registration number, practice areas, city, bio, fee range, and photo.
• Usage data: pages visited, searches performed, bookings made, and documents generated.
• Payment data: payment type and amounts. Card details are handled entirely by our payment processor (Stripe) and are never stored on our servers.
• Communications: messages submitted via our contact form, Q&A questions and answers.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the iWakeel platform.
• Connect clients with lawyers based on city and practice area.
• Process bookings and payments.
• Send transactional emails (booking confirmations, payment receipts).
• Display verified lawyer profiles and ratings publicly.
• Respond to support and contact form enquiries.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We share information only in these limited circumstances:

• Between clients and lawyers: when a booking is made, both parties receive relevant contact details.
• Service providers: Supabase (database hosting), Stripe (payments), and Vercel (hosting) process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.
• Legal requirements: we may disclose data if required by Pakistani law or a valid court order.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at hello@lawzhut.com. Certain records (payment history, booking records) may be retained for legal and financial compliance for up to 7 years.

iWakeel uses essential cookies to maintain your login session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may prevent you from logging in.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption, row-level security on our database, and JWT-based authentication. No system is completely secure — please use a strong, unique password for your iWakeel account.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data in your profile.
• Request deletion of your account and personal data.
• Withdraw consent for non-essential communications at any time.
