Terms of Service
Last updated: April 15, 2026
By accessing or using iWakeel (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our services.
1. About iWakeel
iWakeel is an online marketplace and information platform that connects individuals seeking legal services with independent, self-employed lawyers. iWakeel is not a law firm, does not employ lawyers, and does not provide legal advice.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a legally binding contract to use iWakeel. By creating an account, you confirm you meet these requirements.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Providing accurate and up-to-date information in your profile.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or abusive behaviour.
4. Lawyer Listings
Lawyers listed on iWakeel have been verified by our team. However, iWakeel does not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or outcome of any legal service provided by a listed lawyer. The relationship formed upon booking is solely between you and the lawyer. iWakeel is not a party to that engagement.
5. Payments and Fees
Certain features on iWakeel (document downloads, Q&A posting, advance booking deposits) may require payment. All fees are stated in Pakistani Rupees (PKR). Payments are processed securely via our payment provider. Refunds are subject to the refund policy communicated at the time of each transaction.
6. Legal Documents
Document templates on iWakeel are drafted by legal professionals and intended as general starting points. They do not constitute legal advice and may not be suitable for every situation. For complex or high-value matters, you should have your document reviewed by a qualified lawyer.
7. Q&A Forum
Responses provided in the Q&A forum are general information only and do not constitute legal advice or establish a lawyer-client relationship. Users are responsible for the accuracy of their questions. Lawyers are responsible for the accuracy of their answers. iWakeel may remove content that is abusive, misleading, or in violation of these Terms.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. iWakeel does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.
iWakeel expressly disclaims liability for any legal advice, document, or Q&A answer provided by lawyers on the platform. Any reliance on such information is at your own risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Pakistani law, iWakeel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform or any lawyer services facilitated through it.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Karachi, Pakistan.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email.
